Crypto casinos in Chile
Chile has no online casino law yet. A bill that would license online betting platforms and ban promoting unauthorised ones is in the Senate. We will stop showing offers the day it is published.
Chile has no law regulating online casinos yet, so offshore crypto casinos operate without a Chilean licence. A government bill (Boletín 14.838-03) would create licences for online betting platforms, block unauthorised sites and ban promoting them. It has passed the Chamber of Deputies and was approved in general by the Senate in August 2025. We will stop showing offers in Chile the day it becomes law.
What changed in 2026
Site blocking: on 1 September 2026 Chile’s telecoms undersecretary (Subtel) ordered the main internet providers to block 42 betting and casino sites within 48 hours, including Stake, after a court set up a permanent DNS-blocking procedure in August (BioBioChile). We do not show offers from casinos on that list to visitors in Chile.
Tax: the tax service (SII) began charging VAT on online casino services from 9 June 2026.
The bill: a Senate committee has proposed limiting future licences to companies incorporated in Chile. It is not law yet.
What this means for players
No Chilean authority supervises offshore casinos today, so complaints go to the casino’s own licence regulator (Curacao or Anjouan), not to a Chilean body.
Some casinos refuse Chilean players in their own terms. We only show offers from casinos whose terms accept Chile.
The Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego (SCJ) published a status paper on online gambling in May 2026 (SCJ, PDF).
