Captain Cooks Casino review

By The editorial team · Facts checked 7 October 2026

Fair

Progressive jackpots and round-the-clock live dealers

Captain Cooks Casino is all about progressive jackpots and live dealer tables around the clock, with the highest available RTP version of each game, typically 96% to 99.9% as the casino states. It is a Casino Rewards brand rated 9.5 by casino.guru, but a fiat casino that names no payment method or cryptocurrency on its own site.

  • Running since2003

How it scores

What we like

  • Progressive jackpots and live dealer tables around the clock
  • Highest available RTP version of each game, typically 96% to 99.9%, as the casino states
  • Games from 37 providers (casino.guru count)
  • casino.guru Safety Index 9.5, no unresolved complaints out of 25 and no blacklists

What to watch

  • No payments page and no payment method or cryptocurrency named on the site; casino.guru lists Interac e-Transfer, Instadebit and iDebit and no cryptocurrency we could find, and the terms mention blockchain-based methods; unconfirmed
  • Withdrawals wait 48 hours before processing, bank transfers carry a fee, and big winners are paid at most $4,000 a week; minimums, times and fees are not published beyond the terms
  • Limits and self-exclusion only through support, terms rated somewhat unfair by casino.guru, and the casino's own minimum age is 19, or the legal age of majority where that is higher

Captain Cooks withdrawal time

What Captain Cooks publishes is thin. Its FAQ, banking, about and fair-play pages all return “Page Not Found” today, so there are no stated minimums, per-method delivery times or fee table for it. Only the terms are available:

Step What the terms state
Pending Funds are “held in pending for 48 hours”, then processed “during the following business day” (14.2.9)
Reversal A withdrawal can be reversed in whole or in part until it is processed
After release Times “can vary between payment methods, processors and banks and are beyond our control” (14.2.12)
Limits Individual, daily, weekly and monthly limits “vary by country and withdrawal method” and are not published (14.2.2)
Weekly cap Players who win “a sum substantially greater” than their total purchases can withdraw “maximal $4000 per week”, which the casino may change at its sole discretion (14.2.10)
Bank transfer fee $50 under 3000 units, $100 over (14.2.4); a 2.5% conversion fee applies if the payout currency differs from the account currency (14.2.3)
Same method The casino may and often must pay back to the account you deposited with (14.2.6)

Count the 48 hour pending period before anything else. We have not timed a real withdrawal (how we review). The two sister casinos publish more, and we do not assume their figures apply here.

Cashing out mid-bonus is risky. The terms say the cash part of a first or second deposit can be withdrawn at any time with the remaining bonus forfeited, yet another clause lets the casino withhold withdrawals or confiscate winnings for “withdrawing deposited funds … prior to the redemption of associated bonus funds”. If a payout stalls, see what to do when a withdrawal is pending.

Canadian players outside Ontario who want a well-known Casino Rewards brand with live dealer tables and progressive jackpots, and who accept that payment details are visible only after registering.

Who should look elsewhere

What we could not verify

Who currently owns the casino, which fiat methods and currencies a Canadian sees after login, whether it accepts crypto, any real withdrawal time, and country eligibility from the casino itself: its terms contain no restricted-country list. The casino states support 24/7 by live chat and email.

Facts re-read on the casino’s own pages, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and casino.guru on 7 October 2026. Welcome offer terms are shown only in the offer block above, where we verified them.

Frequently asked questions

Is Captain Cooks Casino available in Canada?

Its terms contain no restricted-country list, and its home page says it aims to provide one of the best online casino experiences in Canada. We hide offers in Ontario and Alberta, where provincially regulated sites operate. The casino is licensed separately in Ontario according to casino.guru.

How long does a Captain Cooks Casino withdrawal take?

Withdrawn funds are held in pending for 48 hours and processed on the following business day. Captain Cooks publishes no per-method delivery times, minimums or fee table: its FAQ and banking pages return Page Not Found. We have not timed a real withdrawal.

Does Captain Cooks Casino require ID verification?

It reserves the right to ask for verification documents after deposits and before a withdrawal: proof that the payment method is yours, photo ID and proof of address under 3 months old, possibly certified by a notary. A withdrawal may not be processed until verification is complete, and a failed check can lead to account closure or voided winnings.

Safety and fine print

Licence
Kahnawake Gaming Commission, licence 00972 (Casino Rewards), checked on the regulator register 7 October 2026
Operator
Casino Rewards (Rewards Affiliates, 13 October 2026: the operating company depends on the player's country)
KYC
Documents may be requested after a deposit or before a withdrawal: photo ID, proof of address under 3 months old and proof that the payment method is yours, sometimes notarised; withdrawals wait until verification is done, and failed source of funds checks can void winnings; failed verification can also mean account termination
Player tools
Daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits, cooling-off from 24 hours to 6 weeks and a 6 month self-exclusion, all arranged through support; increases or removal of a limit take 24 hours; self-exclusion needs a consultation with support and an email from the registered address, and is not active until the casino confirms by email; no loss or session limits stated; the casino also points to the Kahnawake Gaming Commission's comprehensive self-exclusion
Where it is available
Captain Cooks Casino's own terms contain no restricted-country list, so the casino itself does not tell us which countries it refuses. Canada, Chile and Mexico are not on the Rewards Affiliates program's excluded-country list (read 7 October 2026), which is where their eligibility comes from. Separately, we hide every offer in Ontario and Alberta, where provincially licensed sites operate, and everywhere outside Canada, Chile and Mexico.
Complaint record
casino.guru Safety Index 9.5 (very high), very low disputed total for its size; 25 complaints filed there: 1 open, 0 unresolved, 4 resolved, 20 rejected; terms rated somewhat unfair (low-risk play and autoplay while wagering can void winnings); no blacklists; player reviews mention payout delays and high withdrawal fees. Who runs it, the licence and the complaint record

Is Captain Cooks Casino legit?

Captain Cooks is part of the Casino Rewards group, alongside Zodiac and Yukon Gold. Its terms describe it as “licensed under the terms of Kahnawake Gaming Commission, Canada, with licence number 00972”. Casino.guru says it has operated since 2003, and the casino’s home page says only that it has “more than two decades of experience”.

What we checked on 7 October 2026 on the regulator’s side:

  • The Kahnawake Gaming Commission’s permit-holder list has a row for captaincooks.casino. The list says “Updated September 28, 2023”.
  • The commission’s certificate of good standing for captaincooks.casino shows a permit held since 1 November 2000 and an expiry of 16 May 2029. It is a static certificate, not a live status feed.
  • Neither prints the number 00972, which appears only in the casino’s terms and on casino.guru.

Who runs it. Captain Cooks is a Casino Rewards brand. According to the Casino Rewards affiliate program, the company that operates your account depends on the country you play from, so check the name in the terms shown to you when you sign up. If it matters to you, ask support in writing before you deposit.

Casino.guru (third party) shows a Safety Index of 9.5 (“Very high”), 25 complaints with 1 open, none unresolved, 4 resolved and 20 rejected, and no blacklist. It rates the terms “somewhat unfair” and player feedback “Mixed” over 11 reviews, with payment delays and high withdrawal fees named as the main concerns. Complaint titles include delayed payments, delayed withdrawals and winnings confiscated after an account closure. The status of each case is not visible, and the review texts are unverified player claims.

Our guide to checking a casino licence explains what a permit does and does not protect.
